From a legal point of view, esports law is a cross-sectional matter that touches on nearly all areas of law, from labor law to immigration law. On this page, you will find a collection of laws, legal materials and case law of the respective countries or supranational institutions.

This project is currently in development and depends on the input of legal professionals all over the world. We therefore ask you to submit all esports-specific laws and case law under "Submit New Items".

By "esports-specific", we mean laws and rulings that are directly related to the competitive playing of computer and video games (= esports). This may also include, for example, laws on sports/gambling/youth/etc., provided that the relevant legal materials address the subsumption of esports under those terms. Disclaimer: Esports (comparison of performance) is not gambling (comparison of luck), however, gambling law can be relevant, e.g. to betting on esports or lootboxes that affect performance.
